UAE’s oktopi acquires UK-based TutorHouse

oktopi Edutech Ltd, owner of the oktopi workspace solution for education has announced the acquisition of TutorHouse, a UK- based tutoring platform. The move accelerates oktopi’s presence and operations in Europe and MENA, and positively contributes to the advancement of digital Learning and Education.

The number of Exits recorded by Emerging Venture Markets-based startups has seen an all-time high this year recording a YoY growth of 11% compared to last year with Q4 still to go. While we have seen international players entering the regional space by acquiring their counterparts including USA’s Astute Imaging and Novajax acquiring Egypt’s Dileny Tech and Jordan’s Jobedu. A notable trend this year has been regional startups expanding to international markets as seen in this Exit round. Earlier this year, Dubai-based LetsWork acquired Portugal’s Krow, and Swvl acquired Germany’s door2door and Turkey’s Volt Lines

oktopi was launched in 2021 as a learning management platform bringing educators and learners together to create personalized learning experiences in a collaborative space.
